Ely City is proud to announce that the first team has won the Thurlow Nunn Team Performance Award for February/March. Under the guidance of Guy Habbin, the squad remains in the playoff hunt and still has an outside chance for the title, just 4 points behind the leaders. Over the past two months, the Robins have secured 6 wins and 1 draw in the league, keeping 4 clean sheets along the way. Notable victories include two wins over then-leaders Thetford and a dominant 3-1 victory at playoff contenders Walsham Le Willows.
Additionally, City reached the semi-finals of the League Challenge Cup and advanced to the final of the Cambs Invitation Cup, where they will face March Town United later this month.
The club will receive a prize of £150 during a presentation at our next home game on April 19th, when we take on Sheringham. Alongside the prize money, £100 will be donated to our chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.
