Ely City first remained top of the league with a hard fought 0-0 draw away to Heacham.

Guy Habbin’s side had enforced changes, as several injuries were having to be managed inside the squad as we reach the busy period of the season.

The Robins created chances against a resolute Heacham, but good defending and goalkeeping couldn’t see Ely make a break through.

City were unfortunate to see a goal disallowed when Friend finished from close range, but was disallowed for an unclear apparent infringement on the home sides Goalkeeper.

Heacham too had chances late in the game, but solid work from Ely’s back line kept the game goalless as well as Key making a several saves.
